Effects level
The site ships with a fixed set of effects switched on. Raise the level to add more from the catalog of 325 — or lower it if your machine would rather not. Nothing here is permanent: it is stored in your browser only, and the default is exactly the site as it normally looks.

Categories
Turn whole families of effects off without lowering the level — useful if you want the motion but not, say, the full-screen overlays.
The catalog
Every effect the catalog adds. Effects above your current level are shown dimmed — pick a higher level to play them. Tiles scroll, so anything off screen is paused rather than animated.
